In keeping everything transparent and open, we just wanted to provide an update to the great Holiday in the Park event held this past Sunday, December 15, at Bessire Park.
We had about 200 attendees over 2 hours. We spent $1,040 total. Of that amount, $780 were fixed costs and Woodgate attendees costs (bounce house, bubble machine, Santa appearance, decor, signage for Woodgate and beverages allocated to Woodgate).
The variable were the beverages which came to $110 total or about 55 cents per person. There was additional signage to notify the other HOAs over what would have been needed in Woodgate alone. The remainder of $260 is for beverages and signage for the other neighborhoods. Keep in mind if we host this event in 2025, we can update the signage, reuse and not have that cost.
As usual many folks donated their time, equipment, supplies and of course, the delicious cookies, which helped keep costs down.
Overall, it was a good use of the budgeted dollars for events for 2024 leaving a sizable balance of budgeted funds as we close out the year. Events was one category that remained under budget for 2024.
